High-performance Software Controlled Radio Preselector

It provides filtering of R.F.spectrum to reduce broadband signal energy into the receiver.

Tunable Band-Pass Filter for HF bands.. Digital Tuning.

Covering 1.8MHz to 30MHz in five bands.

Stand alone or USB control from PC.

Suitable for Software Define Radios and analog receivers.

The SCR Preselector frequency setting and band selection is synchronized dynamically with any radio supported by Winrad v1.6.1 and HDSDR.

The SCR Preselector can be used with SDR and analog radios.

It is connected in line between the antenna and your receiver. (transceiver with Dual By-Pass relay accessory).

Features:

■ Passive Band Pass Filters.

■ No active switching or amplifier devices in the signal path (Preamplifier Off), therefore itself does not contribute to
     Intermodulation Distortion.

■ Tunable Band Pass Filter bank for HF bands covering 1.8 to 30 MHz in five selectable bands more preselector
    By-Pass function.

■ Stand alone or controlled from PC, via USB, through a graphical user interface (GUI). Automatic selection of control mode.

■ Removes strong signals radiated back to the antenna from quadrature mixers on Software Define Radios .

■ Very high linearity (IP3 figure). Suitable for Software Define Radios and analogue receivers.

■ Locked to a radio performs tracking tuning function.

■ Can be controlled from an external digital system.

■ PTT feature enables connecting in-line with a 100Watts transceiver allowing by-pass the preselector in transmission.
   (with external Dual By-Pass relay accessory)

■ Two antenna input.

■ One antenna output. Lets insert a converter, filter, etc between antenna and SCR Preselector.

■ Selectable 0dB, 6dB, 12dB, 18dB signal input attenuator, using MiniCircuits PAT series attenuator cells.

■ Embedded 110dB stop band, Broadcast Band Rejection filter. (MW band killer filter).

■ Band Pass Filters have Notch filters centered on the adjacent amateur bands given an exceptional stop-band attenuation.

■ Tuning coils wound on large toroid cores T-106 size, rated for 100Watts RF applications, avoiding saturation in front
    
of large signals..

■ Digital tuning. Eight bits digital variable capacitor.

■ Porcelain, High Q tuning capacitors.

■ Switchable low noise preamplifier. Gain 25dB, IP3 38dB, Noise figure 2.7dB.

■ Embedded 7th order, 30MHz, Elliptic Low Pas Filter prior preamplifier.

■ Dynamic LCD display.

■ Input for external PTT/Keying line signal to by-pass the preselector in transmission mode. 3.5mm plug connector.

■ 12V DC/1Amp. output connector for an external 150 Watts dual relay for antenna by-pass . (PTT or Keying line activated.)

■ Full speed USB v2.0 compliant. Plug and Play.

■ The included software runs on PC under Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7 (32 & 64 bits) OS.

  The Software Program.

The software program on the PC runs under Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7
(32 & 64 bits) OS.
(Windows 2K users need to update Framework from Windows Update site).
The user, through the GUI, commands the SCR Preselector in the same way as it does in stand-alone mode.
The program can work at the same time with any SDR software running on the PC, allowing to the user to control both simultaneously.

General Purpose Dual By-Pass relay

PTT or Keying line activated.

It is designed to by-pass the Input and Output RF ports of any device in line with your transceiver or transmitter.
A typical application includes inserting between antenna and a transceiver or transmitter a preselector, preamplifier or filter device.
On transmission switchover, via PTT or Keying line, the Input and Output RF ports of the device are by-passed avoiding being overloaded.
Two switching configurations are available:
- Default By-Passed.
- Default NO By-Passed. (see Dual Antenna Relay page).
