BCB, Broadcast Band rejection High Pass Filters
(Brick-Wall filter)
Suitable for inserting between transceiver and antenna.
No relays are needed.
|
|
Attenuates the spurious signals from AM broadcast band, well know enemies of SW receivers, that cause birdies and IMD, overloading and de-sensing receiver front-ends.
This filter allow to work all of 160 Meters, including the CW portion of the band without the interferences normally experienced by receivers due to overload from the strong commercial AM broadcast band signals
Very sharp slope occurring between 1.7MHz and 1.8MHz, keeps without attenuation all signals at 1.8MHz and above, including the CW portion of the 160 meters band.
Low pass band insertion loss, less than 1 dB @ 1.8MHz typical and flat pass band response.
Suitable for inserting between transceiver and antenna, no relays are needed.
Features:
Impedance: 50 Ohm.
Connected in-line with any 160 - 10 Meter (1.8 - 30 MHz) HF transceiver - transmit right through it on any HF ham band above 1.8 MHz.
Compatible with output from a typical 100 Watt class HF transceiver. (High Power model)
Suitable for inserting between a HF transceiver and an amplifier or a tuner.
Attenuates signals in the AM broadcast band more than 80 dB.
Totally passive design, T/R (Transmit/Receive) operation.
No moving parts.
Uses no relays.
Requires no connection to a power source.
Instantly switches from transmit to receive and back again. No relay time delays.
Filter Specifications:
Power rating: on model
Pass band loss: < 0.85dB (1.8MHz )
Pass band Loss: < 0.25dB (3-30MHz)
Max attenuation: > 80dB
Return loss: > 20dB (1.8 MHz through 30 MHz)
Two models available:
- BCB filter, Power rating Reception-QRP-10Watts max.
BNC connectors.
Suitable to be connected in-line with a 1.8MHz through 30 MHz HF QRP Exciter, transmitting through it without switching relays.

Relay Sequencer Control Unit
|
|
The control unit performs timing and power to the Two Path RF Relay or other kind of RF relays.
Protects the RF Relays from hot-switching , which damage the contacts, and the attached device, allowing to the relays enough time to switch and be ready before apply RF.
Activated from PTT switch, or auxiliary pedal or key/keyer.
High accuracy switching delays thanks to use a microcontroller with quartz crystal to generate precise time base.
Provides an auxiliary galvanically isolated 2Amp. SPDT contact.
Inputs from: Transceiver microphone with PTT, pedal or key/keyer.
Outputs to: Transceiver microphone with PTT, RF relay and auxiliary SPDT contacts.
Voltage: 12VDC.
External Dimensions: (H,W,D): 50x55x148mm.
Foot Switch included:
Robust momentary action foot operated switch with non slip base.
Supplied with 1.7m lead terminated to a 3.5mm jack plug.
